I have been amalgam free almost 6 weeks. Phew! I have finally found the dose and timings that suit me. I think it's much better to be able to function while on rounds, than to push it and have too many symptoms so you can't.-------Jackie After the last round I had to reduce dosing times to every 3 hours, I also reduced the dose to 6mg and that was perfect. I did think about reducing the time further, but I have tinkered enough for now, this round was what I have seen others describing as good, manageable round. I did have a little redistribution event afterwards, but again it was much less than all 4 previous rounds, just a little itching, heartburn and metal mouth. I also changed my start and end times, so that I took my last dose at 6pm, which hopefully allows some redistribution to happen when I'm asleep. That seems to work too. Thanks to all who have been posting what they doing on rounds, it has been very helpful to help me find what works. Cheers What does it mean when I can only handle 6mg of DMSA? - high body burden? ----------Possibly high body burden, or some of us are maybe just more sensitive to the mercury and/or chelators and the process of moving it out of our bodies.--------Jackie Why does it give me heartburn? ------------All of the chelators are acidic. Somebody mentioned taking ginger with their nighttime doses of ALA to help with this, or you could try alkalizing things like Alka-Seltzer Gold, baking soda, (I think minerals in general), or alkalizing foods, which somebody mentioned in a recent post and I think gave a link.--------Jackie Sunshine ._,_.___ Messages in this topic (1) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic Messages MARKETPLACE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Earn your degree in as few as 2 years - Advance your career with an AS, BS, MS degree - College-Finder.net. LOL. Ummm…I have had serious problems with heartburn and I am now 95pct cured of it. It was the bane of my life, I had it 24/7 for years and years. So it's real frustrating when it rears its ugly head again. Diet and apple cider vinegar sorts it out for me. Have a decent diet 24/7 and if heartburn comes along, 2-3 tbls ACV and its gone……it still hurts me and worries me though. I always get dehydration with serious heartburn too and I'm on the watercure! But if the ACV works, then that might be all you need, because it stimulates the production of stomach acid.--------Jackie Sunshine: Yes I take betaine at every meal too. My life used to be ruled by my heartburn, so I do all the right things to keep it at bay, as I said it is 95pct gone now. But, you know, sometimes it just happens, it just arrives out of the blue. Yesterday it arrived at 6pm, 4 hours after I had eaten. I had just drank a large glass of water…absolutely no reason to get heartburn. Very strange, something is happening in there that I don't understand. And I always get dehydrated with the heartburn too, and I drink plenty of water every day without fail. Anyway…it is manageable now with ACV. Sunshine
