Ruthie - I know a woman who I am pretty sure is at least twice your size if not three times - seriously large - she has some nice things from a shop Dawn French has....I could ask her if you like and you could have the pleasure of buying the smallest size in the shop!!! Actually I'm somewhat in shock as her daughter has just been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome at the age of just 12....Poor kid. Are you talking about 16-47 or something? I know Dawn French has a shop in St s Wood or Swiss Cottage. Thank you so much for thinking of me! Really nice of you and I appreciate it! ) It's not really my type of clothing tho, mostly trousers (which I don't wear) and voluminous shirts, or floaty low necked dresses which I also can't wear. Dawn french also has a presence in the stores, so I see her stuff there. I have bought one or two items from evans of hers. Maybe she has nicer stuff now than when I last looked? You see, I have the added problem of religious requirements( ie modest clothing) besides large sizes. That was why NY was so good; the shops in Flatbush, Brooklyn actually cater directly for people like me. Skirts and sleeves were long enough, straight skirts had kick pleats not slits, and any low necks, as in a suit revere, had a fill-in " dicky " already in place. It was only left to me to like the styles! Even T shirts I buy here often are very wide or low necked. I was very lucky in my recent foray into Burnt Oak where I found great T shirts 3 for ten quid, all in my size and with suitable necklines and sleeve lengths. It upsets me a lot when people still make such fun of Felz. OK she's a whinge and whatever. But when she was at her fattest she was probably about my size ((( (OK I would never be on TV if I wasn't slim, admittedly) and now she's lost five stone people are still referring to her as a whale and making fun of her. I wish I was as slim as she is. It seems she will never rid herself of her fattie image. She might as well gain all the weight back for all the credit she's getting for being slimmer.
