I felt ok on dmsa just after the round , more depressed but handable. --------OK, 2 years is long enough to use ALA, but if you haven't done any chelation at all until now, your body burden may still be high, and you may still benefit from doing DMSA alone for awhile. I think rushing into using ALA has caused problems for some people.---------Jackie I really want to do the ala because when the weather gets warmer my head feels hot, I think the mercury in the head. I could reduce the dosage but rt how I split a capsule and do half of the smaller capsule end for ala and since my dmsa is 25 mg I just split the capsule , eyeing it. How would I know what 6 mg of ala is? -----------Alot of us buy empty capsules, available on-line and at health food stores, and fill them ourselves. If you have 25mg capsules, then you would dump the whole capsule out on something like a sheet of paper or a plate, divide it into 4 equal piles using a knife, eyeballing it as close as you can, and then putting each pile into an empty capsule. I do this by pushing the pile onto a smaller piece of paper folded in half, so there is a crease down the middle, get the powder in the crease, and then carefully dump it into the empty capsule. It gets easier the more you do it. And if you have Vit. C in powder form, you can fill the rest of the capsule with that, if you want. Somebody else once posted about using an electronic scale for doing this, and I know Nahla has posted that her doctor sells compounded capsules of DMSA and ALA in very small doses, either search the archives, or maybe they'll respond to this also.--------Jackie > > THis is my 2nd round after over month on dmsa alone.
