Guest guest
Hi Nicola, Pharmax LLC is a UK based company, which also has a distributor in the US. They make probiotics. Some contain FOS, some don't. I don't know if they are available OTC or not. The product that does not contain FOS is: HLC INTENSIVE CAPSULES. (capsule contains 24 billion organisms w/ 2 strain of L.Acidophilus and 2 strains of bifidobacteria.)I don't have contact information for the UK, but the US contact is: 800 538-8274/ Gladioli > > - anyone > > I am struggling to find a source of probiotics either here in Europe, > or deliverable to, that is high potency / good quality, does not > contain FOS, and which does not need to be obtained through a health > practioner. These are the ones recommended by Elaine Gottschall: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/yoghurt/yog_starters.htm I have been using ProGurt fro GI Pro Health. After you try SCD yogurt (with some honey and berries) you will find that other probiotics are too expensive. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I'll check them out. I found CP-1 in the UK this morning on a biomed site. I have been using 3lac for the past 3 weeks, and got some die-off, but I just don't tolerate FOS at all - my guts have been very uncomfortable the last few days so I have stopped. - this joghurt. I have had a very restricted diet (because of the candida) for a good two years now, and I basically eat meat, vegetables, eggs.... erm that's it. Butter is the only dairy I eat. Would I not run into problems with this joghurt if I am lactose- intolerant? I don't know for sure that I am, but I excluded the dairy because of the lactose (being a form of sugar, thus illegal on the candida diet) and because it made me constipated. And berries and honey have been off the menu for a good long time. The SCD is so much more liberal than the candida diet and I would love to be able to eat the SCD 'legal' foods, but I am afraid of losing ground. Is this a legitimate fear, or would the benefits outweigh the potential side-effects of eating the SCD joghurt? thanks Nicola -- In frequent-dose-chelation , " " wrote: > > > > > I am struggling to find a source of probiotics either here in > > Europe, > > > or deliverable to, that is high potency / good quality, does not > > > contain FOS, and which does not need to be obtained through a > > health > > > practioner.
