Here is a recap of improvements after 4 rounds of DMSA. First 2 were

25mg X 4 hours. Second 2 were 12.5mg X 4 hours. All rounds about 6

days on, 6 to 14 days off.

Leg calf pains/cramps/paralysis have been healed about 90%. It was

getting so hard to walk. The condition was made hugely worse with

either SAMe, B vitamins, magnesium, or magnesium+calcium. My theory is

that I do a lot of walking on the job, and that metals were going to

the most used muscles...the calves.

Though my cortisol is below normal all day, and skyrockets at night,

fatigue has improved about 70%.

Longstanding treatment resistant depression lifts about 70% while on

DMSA.

Gut issues such as gas and bloating practically go away while on DMSA.

Sadly, I spent thousands of dollars looking for a doctor who knows

metal toxicity. None in my 3 state area. The best any of them did was

recommend things like adrenal herbs, adrenal extracts, vitamins,

minerals, tons of lab tests, chlorella or cilantro. All of them said

my urine lead and mercury were at the top of the normal range and that

I was not toxic. And yet numerous lab tests and hair tests were way

out of whack. I passed the counting rules with flying colors on tests

alone, not to mention if you include symptoms. While they saw lead

as " high normal " after a 1200mg DMSA 6 hour urine challenge, I noticed

lead had increased about 500%! Mercury increased about 50%. After one

dose. Docs know so little it is frightening. I even gave Andy's book

to my favorite doc for a month. In all that time, he said he glanced

through it but never read it, and that everything in the book was in

line with what he does. And then he prescribed me chlorella and

cilantro. Geez. Give me a break.

Anyway, 4 rounds and I see encouraging things.
