We have a local garage that gives away old lorry tyres - apparently they have to pay to have them taken away so are more than happy to give you one. A friend of mine acquired one in this way. They have put some thin-ish wood (plywood?) in the base so the kids can sit in it as well as on it. You can easily get 3 littleys on it (my DS, his friend and the friends younger sister).
