The colonoscophy one year after surgery is standard and important. During my

one year colonoscophy they found a thumb nail sized tumor which was benign.

At that size it had probably been there a while and this time it was nice to

have it removed early.

My mom had rectal tumor removed, had a colonoscopy and a PET scan 6 months later

and another colonoscopy and scan at the year mark. In the second colonoscopy

they found 2 small poyps which were benign, they said get another colonoscopy in

a year. They also sceduled these tests very quickly, she never had a long wait.
