Guest guest
Have any of you tried this product? It is called PSK Coriolus. It is a mushroom product designed to boost the immune system. I went to the Cancer Center at St. 's Hospital in Oxnard, California, to meet with their cancer nutritionist. She told me she recommends this product to those of us with colon cancer because it is used commonly in Japan during chemotherapy and has studies to back it up. There is only one source on the web that is supposed to have the same formula as that which is used in Japan so I ordered it. The nutritionist, on the other hand, told me NOT to take antioxidants of any kind, including milk thistle, while on chemo. This is because chemo is oxidizing (and works that way) and if I am simultaneously taking antioxidants, I am fighting the ability of the chemo to work. Makes lots of sense, doesn't it. As soon as chemo is over, she said I can take tons of antioxidants, including COQ10 (which I took long before I knew I had cancer). Anyway, let me know if you have heard of PSK Coriolus and if you take it. My oncologist said OK. in California
