I have only tried one round with ALA (DMSA 25mg/ALA 6mg), and I didn't get your

symptoms of pain and burning, but it did knock me out. I could feel it in my

head and it made me so tired I had to take a nap after only being awake for 2-3

hours. I only took 3 or 4 doses and had to stop. So I believe that ALA is a

very powerful thing. In my case, I have high arsenic besides mercury, so I'm

wondering if that's why I react to small amounts of ALA. Does anyone else with

these ALA reactions have arsenic also?-----------Jackie

After this (I don't know if ALA is the cause) I developed very sore

fingertips (a couple of them dry and cracking; mentioned a few days

ago).

Also I have had burning sensations in my toes (on and off).

Then I did a round of DMSA only (33 mg). The soreness didn't disappear.

Now I have just finished a new round of DMSA / ALA (same dosage as

before). Fingertips are pretty much the same, but now my feet are

burning,

especially at night. Also, a lot of muscles feel very sore. If I apply

pressure to them it is like the pain last a lot longer than usual.

And this is only 3 mg of ALA (every 3 hours). It feels like my nervous

system is on 'red alert'.

Is this likely to be caused by ALA, or is it something else ?

I have had sore fingertips and some buzzing or slightly numb feelings

in my hands and feet for the last few rounds. I have not had the

dryness and cracking. I have had similar symptoms related to pathogen

die-off (that can be in other body areas, not just hands and feet),

but recently it is closely associated to rounds (1st day on round and

1st day off round are the worst).

I have also had sore muscles, but for me this is related to pathogen

die-off and not especially tied to rounds. My soreness is more in

the tendon area, where the muscle attaches to a joint.

I have found ALA can make me pretty hyper. I take things to help

calm me down. You may want to look for supplements or meds that

will help with this.

If all of this cropped up soon after you added ALA, then it seems

likely that ALA is the cause.
