Guest guest
Narice: Since Phil already has a sore throat, he will probably feel it increase with the endoscopy. However, I had it with no sores in my throat or mouth and felt nothing afterward. Just lucky I guess. I hope the bile duct opens easily and this is a short procedure. How long do they expect it will take? How did they know the duct was closed? Was it from his ALP blood work? (Liver enzymes)? Or was it because of his yellow color? So sorry he has to go through all of this. It is no fun. With the ERCP endoscopy tomorrow Phil picks now to get the mouth sores and sore throat. Of course we all know one of the side effects of the endoscopy is a sore throat! Needless to say he is NOT a happy camper but is praying that the surgery will help open up the bile duct. His back has also been very sore today. On top of that he had to have pre-op blood work done. He said the technician really jabbed him. He's been pretty wiped out today physically and emotionally and discouraged about all this although for the most part he is really doing well. Pray for the surgery tomorrow to be a big success.
