This would be quite unusual.

Yes. But you don't chelate it, you just take zinc and molybdenum with every

meal.

No.

As above.

TK--- how ?

i

i know i have a lot of deeply stored copper.

TK--- how do you know this ?

but i was

TK--- it should - these are examples of improper chelation with dmps

which can cause severe problems - this is not what we do here on this

forum.

i've always had bad

TK--- you are refering to a site showing examples of bad protocol,

not what we use here. But we do not chelate copper, we are working

on primarily Hg toxicity.

>

TK--- no - refer to Andy's post.

is there anything

> else other than dmps or dmsa that is safe to chelate from body?

TK-- all oral agents - ala, dmps & dmsa are safe if used correctly to

chelate Hg, lead, arsenic - they do not chelate copper

Alpha lipoic acid, DMSA, and DMPS are as safe as it gets as long as

they are used properly. The horror stories you have seen were

evidence of improper doses and improper schedules. It is not the

substances themselves that pose dangers, but rather improper doses

and schedules. I sense you are conscious of safety. If true, then

strictly avoid cilantro, chlorella, saunas, magnetic clays,

glutathione, n-acetyl-cysteine. Those might be ok for a healthy

person to keep daily toxin exposures under control, but dangerous if

already toxic. You've already seen backfire horror stories for some

chelators. The ones I just mentioned are even scarier. Though there

is no scientific clinical study to prove it, the protocol developed

by Phd Cutler has maximum safety as a foundation for the

whole thing, as evidenced by the lack of horror stories by people

using the method correctly.

Clearing out elevated copper takes 2 or 3 months but is easy...take

hefty doses of zinc and molybedenum (they force copper out) spread

out with each meal...avoid multivitamins that have copper...check

your waterpipes from the street to your sink, if there are copper

pipes anywhere then buy a water filter for your kitchen faucet, at a

minimum let the faucet run for 3 minutes before using the water so

as to flush the system of any copper that leached from the last time

you used the faucet. Copper pipes were, and sometimes still are,

soldered with lead. If you have copper pipes, you could have toxic

lead buildup too. Some foods have more copper than others. Nuts are

high in copper. Aquasana brand kitchen sink water filter removes

pratically everything including lead and copper.

Be aware you may or may not feel bad things happen as excess copper

is forced out. It took a long time for your biochemistry to adjust

and deal with the excess toxin, and it will have to undo those

adjustments as the copper leaves. There might be a healing crisis

and there might not.

Copper toxicity is common enough that the Pfeiffer Institute,

specializing in treating difficult pscyhiatric cases, has it listed

as one of their primary causes of psychiatric symptoms. It is

treated with zinc and molybdenum over several months in addition to

avoiding copper exposure.

One of the good mercury chelators...ALA...can cause copper levels to

build up. So if copper is already a problem, probably best to avoid

ALA until after you know copper levels are down.

I hope this info is helpful for you to plan your strategy.

Actually there is this new drug that hasn't been approved by the FDA

yet: http://www.thedcasite.com/tetrathionmolybdate_treatment.html

Anyways, supposedly it doesn't get absorbed by the body if you take it

with meals and it basically stops a lot copper from getting absorbed

into your body.

I was wondering what Andy thought of this drug?
