Guest guest
Hi - Has anyone had adrenal testing of the DHEA levels and found them to be very low? If so, did you try supplementing with DHEA to see if it had an effect on the thyroid levels? It was just a wild idea and finally found a doc to test my DHEA adrenal level. It was 82 (range 35 to 430). Low DHEA can cause all kinds of problems and can affect various autoimmune diseases, including having an effect on the thyroid. I've read that supplementing with DHEA can help boost low sex hormones in postmenopausal women. All of mine are low. I asked for the lowest dose of DHEA (5 mg per day) and got pharmaceutical grade. Now I'm too chicken to try it. Wondered if there are any experiences out there. Thanks so much, Chris
