Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already.

If there is one thing I can say about DS, he is a jolly good sleeper, it's just those wakeful hours which drive mummy insane.
Guest guest
> Had our first visit to A&E with DS today. Glad to hear that Josh is OK again - A&E visits are not pleasant are they? I had my first quite recently with DS1, and should probably have taken DS4 last week when he managed to get in on the act while I was changing a light bulb and touch the live fitting - a big scream and a sudden loss of electric in the whole house :-( As he didn't have any burn marks and didn't lose consciousness, I decided that 4 hours hanging round in casualty was probably not the best course of action. I electrocuted myself as a child - cord on a table lamp was broken and I put the 2 bits together not realising it was still plugged in, I remember screaming and not being able to let go of the cord and my mum having to unplug the lamp and prise my fingers off the cord - but there were no burn marks and mum took the same decision as you (the idea of dragging me and my 3 younger sisters to sit in Casualty didn't appeal ... I don't think it has done me any permanant damage.... http://www.foxstitch.co.uk/

Ow wow, what a supermum you seem to be!! You coped with that REALLY well and did all the right things, well done you! I still have the pleasure of a trip to A&E to come, DS is remarkably UNaccident prone - but it's his birthday party today so I expect I'll have to eat my words if he gets too excited!! Guest guest
wrote I remember as a 7 year old playing in my room and I unscrewed the light bulb on my bedside lamp and took a necklace I had and put it into the fitting (didn't know about electricity then lol) well the entire house's electricity went and my mother who was sewing at the time in the other room just bellowed out LONNIE!!! I quickly got the necklace out (it was black btw) and electricity came back on but when I now think back on this situation I can't believe that my mother thought that it would have something to do with me (whenour electricity goes it is not my first thought that it has something to do with my kids - and I had never done anything like it) and when the electricity then went back on I don't get that she didn't come to check I was ok.. I guess this is one of those little things that makes me think my mother had a weird way of raising her kids Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery...
