often? Did you change anything during this time, like raise the dose

or add ALA? You can search past posts, because I think there was

some recent discussion about headaches, that might give you some

ideas. Otherwise, it's hard to tell what the other chelation product

did to you, and it just might take more chelation to get rid of

them. And sometimes symptoms seem to come and go for people, so

maybe that's what's happening here. Do the headaches happen on round

or off round? Maybe you need to lower the dose.---------Jackie

I took on pill of Extreme Health Metal Detox about 3 months ago. Just

one pill. That one capsule messed me up. I was sick to my stomach,

headaches, anxious. I wasn't sleeping well for a while there.

----------Wow. I'm certainly glad you didn't take any more of this stuff,

and I'm glad you were smart enough to stop after one pill. But if I found the

right link below to the product you took, it isn't surprising you had trouble,

especially since it doesn't tell you how much of each you are taking. Andy says

you should never take EDTA when you're mercury toxic, and the same goes for

chlorella. And cilantro gives many people trouble, and should only be used when

all other chelators have been tried. And if the dose of ALA was large, that

will cause problems, almost for certain, and it should only be taken in small

frequent doses, or not at all. And not to mention all the other sulfury, single

thiol things in there that would just mobilize a bunch of mercury but not

excrete it. This is actually a very dangerous product, and there is alot of

misinformation on this site too. I only read a little, but the things they are

claiming as chelating this and that are way off. So please, nobody ever use

this product! This is just another example of someone trying to make money off

of us sick people, making fantastic claims, and throwing together a bunch of

ingredients that they think are helpful, when they have no idea what these

things really do in an actual toxic human body. If someone was already high

cysteine (high sulfur or high thiols), this product would be horrific for that

person, so maybe that is what happened to you.----------Jackie

I got back on to Andy's protocol, the headaches went away. I was taking 50

mg of DMSA, and 30 mg capsules of ALA, I took them with water.

---------Had you been chelating at these levels before? This would be too

high for alot of us.---------Jackie

About 2 weeks later, I was feeling good. About 1-2 months later, I

ran out of my 30 mg capsules of ALA, and I now no one makes them

anymore. So, I found 60 mg capsules and just used half and mixed that

into grape juice with 50 mg of DMSA, cause that combo was working

well with me. I'm using a different brand of ALA.

-----------This could very well be the problem. We have had some recent

discussions about this, where others have reported having trouble when switching

brands, so possibly the potency can vary. Kirkman's sells a 25mg capsule of

ALA. Should be in the links section.-----------Jackie

Plus now I'm mixing it with grape juice, and the headaches are back.

-----------Andy says to mix in something acidic, not sure how grape juice

rates compared to other juices. How long do you let it sit in the juice? And

what were you using before? I don't think the juice is the problem though, I

suspect the different brand of ALA as being the more likely

culprit.----------Jackie

Could it be from not mixing properly?Maybe it's the different brand

of ALA. I guess I will have to lower the dose to 25 mg DMSA, 12.5 to

15 mg ALA. BTW, I'm dosing every 3 hours during the day, and 4 at

night.

-------------You could even try a round or so on just DMSA, even at the 50mg

you had been taking, and see how you feel/do on that. And if that goes fine,

then maybe add in a lower dose of ALA. And as I mentioned above, I think

Kirkman's has the lowest dose of ALA available, without having it compounded.

Good luck, and keep us posted on what you do and what ends up working for

you.-------Jackie
