removing amalgam tattoo?

I have had all my amalgam fillings removed and been chelating for well

over a year but still not feeling better. Each round of chelation

usually worsens my symptoms for at least a week even though I've tried

both high (~50-100mg DMSA and 50 mg ALA) and low (12.5mg DMSA and 8.3

mg ALA) chelating doses.

Am thinking now that the problem may be due to an amalgam tattoo in my

gum, near one of the molar teeth that had a large amalgam filling and

root canal (now covered with zirconium crown). I would be interested

in hearing what anybody knows about amalgam tattoos interfering with

chelation results, and how this might be addressed. The tattoo is

almost .25 inches vertical and runs the entire length of the tooth

(~.5 inches) - surgery to remove it all at once seems kind of drastic

and I'm interested to learn about alternative possibilities.

thanks,
