Background

I took much of mid January off from chelating as I had a

bad reaction to dmps which i tried in conjunction with introducing HC

for my adrenals...My head problems got quite severe (head

fog ,anxious, depression, not feeling like living thoughts, sore all

over) and i am only guessing that it was due to a lot of mercury

being stirred up and expelled

----------Couple of thoughts. Were you using DMSA before this and now

switched to DMPS? Did you use the same dosage of each? When I switched to DMPS

from DMSA, the DMPS felt stronger to me. It may have been that it was pulling

from different areas, or in my case, pulling arsenic, which the DMSA wouldn't

have done. Anyway, I had been taking 25mg of DMSA, and had to drop to 15mg of

DMPS. And were you dosing every 8 hours? I tried that, but felt better on 6

hr.-------Jackie

The last two weeks i tried dmps again with ala..it was quite good for

the first round and break..then second round the head problems that i

had before (as noted above) came back, sleep is much worse and anxiety

depression is off the charts

I was on 15 mgs dmps and I believe 25 mgs of ala (every 3 hrs-4 hrs

at night).

-----------If this was your first go at ALA, then 25mg was probably too much.

I would suggest lowering the dose next time. And remember, some people feel

better on more frequent dosing, like every 2 or 2-1/2 hours for ALA. Another

question, were you taking 15mg of DMPS every 3 hours, or every 6 hours? And how

much DMPS were you taking before, by itself? And you say *I believe* I was

taking 25mg of ALA, you don't know for sure? Scary. I found out ALA is nothing

to mess around with. Only 6mg knocked me out. So try lowering your dose or

wait longer to use it.--------Jackie

..I am only guessing that perhaps the dosage was too high

and too much was moved around..i know this is one of those things

that probably fall under the heading who really knows...its just so

discouraging to feel yourself better for a few days and then collapse

worse than you were before you chelated..i know it has to be done..

-----------Chin up, . We have all had our ups and downs, and hopefully

we learn from our experiences. I know all too well what it feels like to go

backwards. Believe me, been there, done that, don't like it. But, it does get

better. So just keep plugging away. We're here for yah :)

------------Jackie
