Guest guest
I went to my doctor today after seeing 5 different dermatologists over the last year. At the beginning they said rosacea....and gave me cortizone and noritate. The second and third derms said no it was not rosacea and " who knows what it is? " Finally we have all come to the conclusion that it is nerve damage....solution = not sure. They gave me a big bottle of neurontin for the pain. My question is does anyone know what could calm the nerves and I realize I am on the wrong chat but the list members have so much knowledge and experience with creams and different products that I find myself reading all the posts and coming away with lots of information. I also have been on all the industrial medication, such as accutane and corizone, so I feel I can relate with a lot of the members. I have heard of HGH on the list and from the internet. I would like to know who has taken, what brand, and if it really thickens skin as that might really help me. thanks ryan Subject: HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE " Apparently this helps thicken skin, has anyone tried it? Guest guest
Hi Bidget--I would steer clear of any hormones without strict medical supervision. cea is highly sensitive to hormones and you could end up much worse than you are now. Not to mention the myriad of other problems you could develop from unsupervised steroid usage. > Apparently this helps thicken skin, has anyone tried it? > > > --------------------------------- >

Guest guest
Hi all, Regarding HGH--Yes, it is dangerous to play with the human growth hormone, BUT STIMULATING the hormone is something altogether different, and can have incredibly beneficial results upon the skin. L-glutamine, which is indicated for a number of things, including skin, immune system, colitis, ulcers (number one amino acid in Japan!) is used by a number of companies to stimulate HGH. It is also a wonderful detoxifier and highly recommended by the SHER SYSTEM for people with cea. HOpe this helps. Note: forwarded message attached. Guest guest
Hi Mike I watched a programme recently on Growth Hormone Therapy. The Life Extension Institute in Palm Springs was conducting the therapy on people. They claimed that it makes you younger looking, decreases fat, increases muscles, puts calcium back into bones and yes - makes your skin thicker! They featured this man on it who was getting the therapy and he looked terrific. They even claimed that it extended your life expectancy to " 120 years!!! " . The only drawback was that it was expensive. That's all I know - if you find out more please let us all know. I'd be interested in the skin thickening aspect of it to see if it would clear the rosacea, but if it doesn't - then I'm not interested (living for 120 years with rosacea - no thank you!!) Good luck and take care. maria. > >Reply-To: mmckinley@... >To: rosacea-support >Subject: Human Growth Hormone >Date: Sat, 16 Mar 2002 14:42:49 -0500 > >Has anyone heard of research being done regarding HGH releasing supplements >and their affect on cea? TK--- Lots, I used it for a year when I could get it legally through my doctor and could afford it. I suggest not using it until you have researched how to use it throughly, how and where to get it where you get real product. You need to know how to reconstitute it without one of the preservatives usually included, use bacteriostatic water instead. Do lots of research first. > > It seems to be pretty safe and harmless from what I can tell. Guest guest
I thought I had read that Andy says it can make a really dramatic difference in some people. Do you think that is an overstatement, or applicable to only a very few? Thanks, Inga > TK-- It can make some difference for some people, not fantastic > differences in how you feel but more subtle ones.
