I asked her about cavitations and she told me (if I remember correctly) that cavitations were difficult to detect. She said there are only a couple of machines in Europe to do so, I don't remember exactly where. She said she though about buying one but that they are too expensive. I have phoned to her office to ask your questions and they have tell me that there are a couple of oral surgeons working there. However, you should first see Dra. Gelfo because it is not possible to have a direct appointment with her oral surgeons. Now she is giving appointments for the month of July. If you want me to do further inquiries I would be pleased to do so. Maybe you could also email her directly your questions: she use to be prompt in her answers. You can find her email in her webpage http://www.odontologia-holistica.com/ > I need to start chelation as soon as possible, but I am worried > there could be traces of mercury embedded in the tissue surrounding > the cavitation, and I might end up with neurological problems if I > start chelation now. Probably cavitations are not very common. Very good idea since dental work in Spain seems to be fine and a lot cheaper than in the US, but only if you really need it! > > Does Dr. Gelfo take panoramic xrays? The only problem is that she is very expensive (for our Spanish standards, really cheap compared with costs in US). I asked her to remove three crowns to see if there were amalgam under them. Now I have provisional crowns and I will come back to my former dentist to install the definitive ones, since it is 4 times cheaper than Dra. Gelfo's option and he does not use amalgam at all (my amalgams were quite old and done with another dentist). Warmest regards,
Guest guest
> , Thanks for the quick reply and the links you sent me. Could you also tell me if Dr. Gelfo needed you to get testing done for biocompatible materials? If not, then what materials are going to be used for your permanent crowns, since you have provisionals right now? Does Dr. Gelfo help her patients get biocompatible testing? Sorry, maybe I need to ask her this directly but if you already have the answer I'd like to know. Best Regards > > > > Does Dr. Gelfo take panoramic xrays? Guest guest
No, they didn't propose any biocompatibility test. The crowns were fiber polycarbonate crowns (€410 each one). Maybe there is no need of such a test with this material. I don't know if they do such biocompatibility testing. If you want, just send me the precise questions and I will ask them about materials, testing, etc. As for my crowns, I went to my former dentist and he proposed me to choose among noble metal crowns (made from an alley of gold and palladium, €170 each one), ceramic-zirconium crowns (€270) or metal-porcelain crowns (the metal is an alley of chromium and cobalt €124). I really don't know what to choose. Any information about this will be very welcome. >, >Thanks for the quick reply and the links you sent me.
