Guest guest
Because I didn't have the time or money to send my blood away for the real test of dental materials I had the dentist give me samples of all materials he could use, including glues. The glues were on Q tips wrapped in saran wrap. I had one person do pulse testing with them and another person do muscle testing. Their results agreed and I used the ones with least reaction. One that I did react to the dentist said would evaporate and be gone shortly after the procedure. With MCS there are supplements Andy recommends. Off the top of my head I remember grapefruit juice (shouldn't be hard to find fresh in Hawaii), niacinamide, and others to support the liver. Someone else will remember or read the liver section of Amalgam Illness. J > > The other thing I've been mulling is this problem with dental glues. I read a post here a little while back, but can't ind it, so forgive me if I duplicate. Like many of you here , I've been sick a long time, diagnosed with every sort of mystery illness under the sun. And, upon moving in August from Taos, NM (tile, untreated wood, earth houses) to Bend, Oregon (lots of brand new " modern " construction) I learned I had Multiple Chemicle Sensitivity. I actually had to move in and out of a couple houses here (finally just living out of boxes at my parents' house) before I found the one I'm in now. It took 3 months! The MCS was what made me get a metals test so this whole process is pretty new to me.. just a few months.. So, with MCS, the worst thing for me, other than hydrocarbons -----------Andy says that for people who react to hydrocarbons, that takin NAC can help, but only if you are not sensitive to sulfur foods and supps, since NAC is sulfury. Otherwise, Alka Seltzer Gold can help, after an exposure. And like said, MCS is usually caused by fast phase 1 and slow phase 2 in the liver, and things like grapefruit juice and niacinamide (and I think there is a third one that is eluding my memory also) slow down phase 1, so this helps relieve symptoms. It has been discussed recently on one of these groups, so hopefully others will reply with what they are doing.------------Jackie and that sort of thing, are glues/resins and when the dentist glued in my temporaries it was like all sorts of fire alarms went off all over my body. Once the glues are cured will they continue to affect me or? Or is there something I can do? I got NAET tested/treated for the mercury and heavy metals and will try to get ahold of the glue the dentist uses for the porcelain so I can get it NAET tested/treated too but wondering what else I do to avoid this problem? ----------If he NAET testing/treatments have worked for you, then that might be the quickest thing to do/try. (Besides above MCS remedies.) Since you're leaving soon, I don't know if you'll have time for this, but I had biocompatability testing done to test all dental materials, before I had my fillings replaced, so the dentist could pick safe or the least reactive dental materials for me. They send you a test kit, and you have to get a blood draw and return it to them. It gave me some peace of mind, not worrying about what to put in my mouth.
