Ken - You will be the third person I "know". The other two made very, very big bucks! Good luck - please let us know the date of the show, and what you decide to do if you have a windfall item.

To all you wonderful mothers, blessing on you this day. I've been thinking of mine all morning and how

soothing the touch of her hand was on my forehead when I had a cold/fever. That was the only medicine we could afford and, as it turned out, the only one we needed. Jack79/IPF - UIP/dx06/05 Maine

Jack , we are kindred spirits of the prose as your words touched my heart. You have quite the turn of phrase my friend. You aren't a bit Irish are you and maybe kissed the blarney stone once too often. I just noticed you live in Maine. That place must be really weird judging by King's books and movies. I hope you are being blessed this day by friends and love ones.

Be there a writer who doesn't relish the praise lavished on his work? Thank ye, for that. As to being Irish, there may be a bit. I do know that a great- great-great- grandfather came from Ireland to Pennsylvania around 1820. My sainted red-headed grandmother had the temper of one and the toughness to tame all six or seven of her husbands. Jack79/IPF - UIP/dx06/05 Maine

My goodness Jack, I bet the stories you could tell would fill up volumes. I knew there was some Irish in there. I can spot them every time. I belong to Clan Cian one of the only Irish clans in the US. Before my first husband died we used to go to all the highland games within a reasonable distance. There is nothing sexier than a man in a kilt. I especially loved watching them toss the caber and the hammer throw. I participated in the haggis toss but never won. I was considered too scrawny. Our tartan was blue and white. My goodness, I never realized how much I have missed those summer events. I am going to have to introduce my hubby to the highland games. I'll even get him a kilt but make him go commando. Tee Hee! I am a very bad girl sometimes. Have you ever been on a Irish pub crawl? Well way back then I drank the dark ale a wee bit too much and by the end of the night I was indeed crawling but oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the fun. A pub crawl in case you don't know is when a whole shebang of Irish men and ladies go from pub to pub drinking themselves crazy enough to start dancing. At least we called it dancing. We played real pub darts with steel tips on a cork board. Probably not the smartest game for a bunch of drunken Irish to play. "Put down the drink and step away from the sharp pointy objects." I have always blamed my temper (the little tiny one that I have) on my being mostly Irish then when I finally tracked down my father's family last year it turns out I'm more Indian than Irish. Well either way drinking and sharp objects are a bad idea. Don't they always say "It's all fun and games 'til someone loses an eye."? Enough and probably more than enough. I have to go take a calamine lotion bath. Cross your fingers and say a prayer that I don't end up in the hospital tonight. I have been a tad loopy for the last few hours so it must be bedtime. HUGS TO ALL!
