Beth,

I have the opposite question. Is it possible that withdrawing from prednisone for four days then starting back up that two days later I would develop severe edema because of the prednisone? Doc blood tests and doesn't think it was my heart but I am still on Lasix. I don't want to take it if the edema is gone for good now that I am on my regular regimen of prednisone. My hubby thinks it's just too much of a coincidence that I would develop severe edema during that time frame when I have never had it before. Appreciate yours and anyone else's thoughts on the subject.

Sunny,

I wish I could be of more help but I really have no idea. But I would strongly suggest you continue to take the Lasix or whatever other meds the doctor has prescribed. Edema can be caused by many different things and as you've shared with us you have complex medical issues. I would not begin to guess what is the best course of action for you. Your doctors are in a much better position than I am to give you more information.
