Imse question for cloth nappy bores

I just got my new (used) Imse Vimse flannelette nappies in

the mail today and have washed them and they're drying now.

I am very excited

My question is how does one close them? I thought a nappy

nippa, but it doesn't really hook into the fabric very

well. Maybe pins? Or is there some other way to get it on

and have it stay on a writhing toddler? Only one of the

wraps I have holds the nappies tightly in place.

Maybe this is why there's a large turnover of Imses on the

used nappy swap meet
