Guest guest
Three weeks ago my CT scan noted a 1.8cm X 0.8cm ( average size 0.4 cm or smaller) mesenteric lymph node. While the short axis long axis ratio was ok the size looked bad. ONC called this morning and said PET was clean and follow up CT did not even see the node. The PET and CEA were done yesterday and I knew it had to be bad as I did not get same day results and they were working on a treatment plan. I finished chemo in October 2004 and had been concerned about my CEA still being elevated. Three weeks ago my CEA dropped from 3.6 to 2.6. Today my ONC said CEA dropped again from 2.6 to 1.8. A good surprise as no treatment since end of chemo. It may change but today on cloud nine. The enlarged node is another example of when things look bad they can get better.
