Guest guest
Last week returning from a meeting in our state capital, I stopped at a restaurant for lunch. I was seated in a booth next to an elderly couple. They were bathed in a glow, obvioulsy very much in love. Assuming they were life-long partners, I made a comment to that effect. "Oh, no," she said, "we've only been married three years." She went on to tell me that her husband was a retired school teacher, that she was 87 years old and he was 89. They didn't look it, both were beautifully dressed. "How old are you?" she asked. I told her that I was 80. She looked up at me again, smuiled, and said "Botox?" As I was leaving, I complimented them again on their obvious happiness and how well they were accommodating advanced age. Holding her husband's arm, she smiled and said, "I'm dying from multiple brain tumors. We'll do just fine."
