Does zinc gluconate effect sense of smell?

My sense of smell is incredibly weak. I know Andy mentions this in

the AI book, that this can be part of the illness but does anyone

think zinc gluconate is dangerous to your sense of smell? I was

reading on wikipedia that products containing zinc gluconate people

have complained about, people claim to have lost there sense of smell.

I can buy zinc citrate which works fine but it's a whole lot more

expensive. I have a reaction to the amino acid form of zinc.
