Guest guest
Hi , Confusing for sure. I felt the same way in the beginning so I joined all the lists and read everything and still couldn't figure out what to do. So I just kept track of what people said they were doing, Dan! or Andy's protocol and what I found after 9 months of carefully watching is that some kids did well with the huge amounts of chelators and less frequent dosing....but some did horrible, banging their heads, regressing and every other sort of side effect you wouldn't want. I didn't find that on Andy's protocol, just kids doing better, no reports of horrible regressions or side effects. So the conclusion is that some kids can take the Dan! protocol, but a LOT can't and it is, for me, about finding the safest way to get ours better. This is my granddaughter who was formerly autistic, now totally indistinguishable from other children, except in good ways, no dx, in a regular first grade with no aide, doing beautifully both academically and socially. I wish you luck with your quest, let us know if we can answer any further questions. : frequent-dose-chelation Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2008 6:09 PM Subject: Re: Andy's protocol vs. ARI's protocol >Jackie, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do belong to the groups and I have read my eyes out on this subject. The troubling thing to me is that with the ARI, there are 33 phd's signing off on their protocol. My gut feeling to Andy's gentle and frequent approach but the vast contrast between the two is very troubling. I will continue to absorb info.. We are likely weeks away from starting whatever it is we decide to do. Where do you recommend me obtaining DMSA should we opt to go that route? This is a new revelation to me, thanks to my sons condition. I have 9 amalgam fillings in my mouth and I am already set on having them replaced with white composite. Do you feel that it is safe to assume that I am mercury toxic? I have not read Andy's book but Im sure he would feel that I am. Any more input would be great. Hi Collette, I bet we all wish we knew about Andy sooner :-) What were the exact recommendations (dosages) for the oregano, niacinamide and grapefruit please? And did you have the plasma cysteine test to diagnose sulphur problems, or was it by elimination? Thanks, Dean
