Guest guest
Hi everyone well here's what we found out 1. Tumor size in the liver has increased and is pushing on the bile duct 2. Phil has somehow lost about 10 lbs. He must be emptying his shoes because he eats like a horse! 3. Tuesday he;ll start a new chemo regimen: 5FU Leucovorin and Camptosar as well as Erbitux most common side effects being diarrhea and an itchy acne like rash (JOY!!) 4. The jaundice is still pretty bad but they say that should resolved by the chemo or they may wind up doing some minor GI surgery to help relieve the pressure on the bile duct. My emotional state is 100% better now that he is HOME Thanks for all your prayers and support Gearing up to whack this beast's head off Kick cancer butt whatever It Ain't over yet! With God's help and your prayers we can do it. Narice & Phil

Guest guest
Actually, Phil may want and hope for the rash. The research I have read and my onc told me - that if you get a heavy rash the erbitux is working well. I had a very heavy rash. The nurses kept telling me to be proud of it. I had to take antibiotics several times because it got infected. I had it on my scalp which was the worst part of the whole thing. I stopped the erbitux about 6 weeks ago and the rash is still visible but fading slowly. Mine really did not itch, it just looked bad. Luckily I only had it severe on my face at the beginning then it went from my chin down. Praying that everything goes well for you.
