Then I just left it and it took about 3 days to go down. You could try giving him some pyriton - works wonders for some of these sorts of rashes. This spreads to just below his jaw line. My sister went through what was amost an allergy to sunshine when she was going through puberty. Any part of her skin exposed to the sun whether sunscreened or not would react into a raised 'rash'. It would stop at the edges of her clothes e.g, short socks. It suddenly cleared up.
