Remember last week I told you I had given up my precious rugby ticket

for the Lions vs Wallabies match? Well, guess where I was tonight -

in my original seat watching the Lions lose :-((((((

I had joined the others for a pre-match drink and we all caught a

train to the stadium together. The idea was that I would have another

pre-match drink with them in the pub closest to the stadium and then

meet them in the same place after the match but what we didn't realise

is that the train practicaly dumps you at the gate.

I walked towards the stadium with them and said goodbye, walked back

to the station and stood waiting for the train. Just as it approached

the station, my mobile rang and DH told me to get back to the stadium

ASAP - they had been given a spare ticket by a policeman!!

If anyone has watched the game, I don't know whether it would come

across that at least 2/3 of the supporters were dressed in red. One

of the guys with us commented that he had never seen such a huge

amount of support for an away, let alone overseas, match.

Melbourne has been awash with red shirts for a couple of days now and

there have been lots of men wandering round in kilts too!!
