Another local NCt friend met her husband on a two hour boat trip on holiday in New Zealand - somehow felt compelled to give him her phone number for when he visited London - but he had a girlfriend - first question she asked him was 'are you going out with x?' and after that negative response, all was plain sailing ... Another schoolfriend met her husband on the back of a jeep in Kenya on a bush trip - again both living in different continents normally - he used to organise adventure holidays and although has a less itinerant occupation now, they took their two daughters into the Northern Territory of Australia for three months for a bush walk a couple of years ago... Someone recently said they met their DH through the net - how long before they met for real ? Caro
Guest guest
I met my DH at the top of the back wall of a quarry! I'd been climbing with his best friend for years, and so we both knew all about each other, and had seen each other from afar several times. DH had told Max that I was the woman for him (though he was living with someone else at the time!). Anyway, this particular evening we were climbing something Max had set his sights on which was strictly above my ability, so I was struggling and swearing a bit and when I pulled over the top of a slight overhang, there was DH lying down looking over the edge, trying to spot where I was as Max thought I'd got stuck!! So I swore roundly at the pair of them, we went to the pub, and that was that. Didn't see him again for another 2 years!! Then we got together at a party to celebrate Max's return from a trip to Zimbabwe, by which time DH and his ex had parted company, and he was a free man (briefly!)
