Guest guest
Hey there Jay, curious as to where your friend had his surgery in Atlanta since mine was at Emory but I do my chemo in Marietta. All, awhile back we talked about the outrageous cost of chemo. My EOB's are kind of screwy but it looks like my chemo is around $7000. The good thing is that my doctor is part of Georgia Cancer Specialists or some group and their offices include the doctors, the lab and the chemo room. Therefore, my chemo is calculated as a doctors visit and I only have to pay my co-pay as opposed to going to the hospital or a chemo lab and have to pay the co-insurance, co-pay and the 10 or 20% of the facility charges. I know most of you are probably set in where you are going but you might want to look into a place where the chemo is done in the docs office, depending on your insurance of course. Just thought I would share because this sure took a load off my mind. I have pretty good ins thru work and still owe $7K+ for the 2 hospitals and so on after my $4500 out of pocket! I just couldn't deal with the 10-20% of the chemo charges! Hugs and prayers to all!! Jay Debaca jayishome@...> wrote: Donnelle: got the shirt! Thanks! and Thanks for the business cards! Your the best! I will have to take a picture of me in a few days (after I get my color back) and post on our slide show for this weekend! I will streamline the slideshow and make the pictures flash faster and will put up some captions. Congrats to my friend DH in Atlanta who just had a resect. 18 inches of colon. He is out of the hospital after 3 days! I will have him join this group as soon as he can. Nice fellow. Oh, and someone just blew a kiss from 30,000 feet! I think she is in ABQ now. ;-) Jay
