Ok, got it. It would not be good for you to use any EDTA at all. The lead can be chelated out slowly with DMSA, mercury with DMSA, DMPS, ALA. > I did 8 rounds of 10 or 12.5mg dmsa. The reason you are having problems with rounds is probably because of your high toxic load and frail condition. In that case lowering the dose of chelator is recommended, plus trouble shooting like you were talking about. You may need to go to doses of 5-6 mg DMSA. I know it's slow but chelation is the only way to remove the metals, and in your condition going too fast would not be good. If your practitioner would be willing to prescribe 5 mg DMPS for you to take continuously, every 6-8 h, then that would allow some continuous movement of metals out without any end of round redistribution. I have used DMPS continuously, have felt no redistribution as long as I keep going, and that's why I recommend it as a good way to clear out metals in order to get to the point where one can tolerate ALA (and in your case so that you could tolerate higher doses of DMSA for the lead). (of course if you got side effects from small doses you would have to stop) Retest showed that I AM > lowering the Hg and Pb, but other metals like uranium are now showing > up. It's difficult to say that one is worse than the other because there is no test that can directly assay what is in the body. Certainly, with them both showing up high on test results they both need to be addressed. I > have no candida or parasite signs.
