Guest guest
Hi all, Here is my report on my hair analysis. 1) Current symptoms and medical history; Anxiety/panic attacks. Got one a few days after having 3 amalgams removed and I haven't had any for a long time. Cold hands, cold feet. Recuring/chronic digestive problems. Constipation/diarrhea, SIBO that comes back after treatment. Lactose and fructose used to give me bad pain, gas, diarrhea, but after antibiotic treatment I can now tollerate those foods that made me sick. Was once diagnosed with Lymphocytic Colitis, but recent colonoscopy shows that this no longer is around. Frequent urination. Often " feel " dehydrated/hot at night even though temperature is normal in room and have no fever. Xanthoma on left eyelid. Don't feel well rested in morning no matter how long I sleep. Tired/Fatigued during day. Normally feel worse in the morning, but better later in the day other than feeling tired. Hands sometimes shaky. Left thigh falls asleep, mainly when lying down in bed. Recent ALT (liver enzyme) levels were just out of range high, but they've since come back down a bit. 2) Current dental work in place and dental history; I currently have 8 amalgams, 3 were removed about 1 month ago and replaced with composite materials. 3) Supplements; medications and chelating schedule at the time of hair test; Sporadic supplements, but around the time of testing I was taking some antioxidents, a B complex, milk thisle, probiotic and a Calcium/Vitamin D. Taking an antidepressant/antianxiety medication and a sleep medication. 4) Recently added supplements and medications after the hair test and date added; Vitamin D. 5) Other relevant information. Think that my having 3 amalgams removed made the test results show more mercury than I might normally. Looking at the results it appears that I do not have deranged mineral transport. Mercury is elevated in the yellow, but not terribly high and given I had 3 amalgams removed recently it seems on par. I do see some mineral imbalances, though I'm not sure why they are there. They could have to do with my symptoms though. Potasium, Manganese, Iodine, Barium, Cobalt, Germanium and Rubidium are all reporting low, all except Coblat, are in the yellow zone. I am preporting high in Chromium. Near out of range high is Zinc and just out of range low is Selenium. See my results below for more info. I have both the Hair Test Interpretation and Amalgam illness books. I've read all the Hair test one, but only part of the Amalgam illness book. Though I see that I have mercury I'm not sure that I'm all that bad in that regard. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I was also wondering if there is a forum/group for discussing hair testing results in general. Anyone know of one? Thanks, Mike Counting rules: 1: Count=7 Result>5 Does NOT meet rule. 2: Count=16 Result>5 Does NOT meet rule. 3: Count=1 Result<4 Does NOT meet rule. 4: Count=15 Result>11 Does NOT meet rule. 5: Does NOT meet rule. Guest guest
Mike, Your hair test doesn't look normal to me. 7 over is unusual and the test looks fairly skewed to the left. Also, since the test is pretty all low, the mercury may be higher than it appears. Your symptoms are also consistent with mercury. I think removing amalgams and trying some chelation is a good idea and will likely confirm the diagnosis. Feeling worse in the morning and better at night is often an adrenal symptom. The heat at night also sounds possibly adrenal. The HPA axis gets disregulated and puts out cortisol at the wrong time. A saliva test for cortisol levels can give more information. Another option is to do a lot of reading and then try adrenal support supplements to see if they help. With GI problems, a good stool test can be helpful. SCD is supposed to be a very helpful diet for people with SIBO. If you are not taking probiotics, I suggest finding a good one that you tolerate and stick with it throughout chelation. Thyroid treatment can sometimes help GI symptoms - many of us have s syndrome, if not frank hypothyroidism. Frequent urination means you need to keep yourself well hydrated until you can address the problem. Sometimes this is diabetes insipidus, sometimes low aldosterone, or both. Keep on with your medications if they help or look for better ones if they don't. Get consistent about supplementation and work on adding the other basic supplements that Andy suggests (p. 133-134). He makes many other helpful suggestions for treating specific problems. With frequent urinaton, some people get quite mineral deficient. The hair test is deranged, so it is not a good guide to your mineral needs. Andy's supplement program will help. It is a process and takes time to get your supplement program right - but you have time to work on that while looking into amalgam replacement. -- > > Hi all, > > Here is my report on my hair analysis. > > 1) Current symptoms and medical history; > Anxiety/panic attacks. Guest guest
> Hi Mike, I was not going to comment on the hair analysis - there are others much more qualified but I did want to say that each time after amalgam removal I had a couple of bad days and then felt better and then in weeks 7,8,9 got really bad and then slowly got better. My aggitation and anxiety increase after amalgams for about a week and then hit again as mentioned above. Thought I would just add that incase something similar happens. Guest guest
See page 26 of the hair test book. It's unusual. not normal, not definitively abnormal. The supplements you are taking can make the test look better than it otherwise would.
