Hi all,

Here is my report on my hair analysis.

1) Current symptoms and medical history;

Anxiety/panic attacks. Got one a few days after having 3 amalgams

removed and I haven't had any for a long time.

Cold hands, cold feet.

Recuring/chronic digestive problems. Constipation/diarrhea, SIBO

that comes back after treatment.

Lactose and fructose used to give me bad pain, gas, diarrhea, but

after antibiotic treatment I can now tollerate those foods that made

me sick.

Was once diagnosed with Lymphocytic Colitis, but recent colonoscopy

shows that this no longer is around.

Frequent urination. Often " feel " dehydrated/hot at night even though

temperature is normal in room and have no fever.

Xanthoma on left eyelid.

Don't feel well rested in morning no matter how long I sleep.

Tired/Fatigued during day.

Normally feel worse in the morning, but better later in the day other

than feeling tired.

Hands sometimes shaky.

Left thigh falls asleep, mainly when lying down in bed.

Recent ALT (liver enzyme) levels were just out of range high, but

they've since come back down a bit.

2) Current dental work in place and dental history;

I currently have 8 amalgams, 3 were removed about 1 month ago and

replaced with composite materials.

3) Supplements; medications and chelating schedule at the time of

hair test;

Sporadic supplements, but around the time of testing I was taking

some antioxidents, a B complex, milk thisle, probiotic and a

Calcium/Vitamin D.

Taking an antidepressant/antianxiety medication and a sleep

medication.

4) Recently added supplements and medications after the hair test and

date

added;

Vitamin D.

5) Other relevant information.

Think that my having 3 amalgams removed made the test results show

more mercury than I might normally.

Looking at the results it appears that I do not have deranged mineral

transport. Mercury is elevated in the yellow, but not terribly high

and given I had 3 amalgams removed recently it seems on par.

I do see some mineral imbalances, though I'm not sure why they are

there. They could have to do with my symptoms though. Potasium,

Manganese, Iodine, Barium, Cobalt, Germanium and Rubidium are all

reporting low, all except Coblat, are in the yellow zone. I am

preporting high in Chromium. Near out of range high is Zinc and just

out of range low is Selenium.

See my results below for more info.

I have both the Hair Test Interpretation and Amalgam illness books.

I've read all the Hair test one, but only part of the Amalgam illness

book. Though I see that I have mercury I'm not sure that I'm all

that bad in that regard.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I was also wondering if

there is a forum/group for discussing hair testing results in

general. Anyone know of one?

Thanks,

Mike

See page 26 of the hair test book. It's unusual. not normal, not definitively

abnormal.

The supplements you are taking can make the test look better than it otherwise

would.

Thanks Andy.

I'm replying to add more information to this thread about other

abnormalities found in testing.

I had lymphocyte testing done for various minerals/fats/vitamins by

SpectraCell and here's what they found:

Low out of range for Glutathione, Pantothenate (B5), Folate (B9),

Vitamin B12, and Total antioxidant function.

Also showed fructose sensitivity (which I had symptom wise before being

treated for bacterial overgrowth). Other B Vitamins were also low but

within range. Supposedly testing lymphocytes for these things shows

more longer term levels than regular blood tesitng. For more

information on this type of testing see the SpectraCell website.

But regular blood testing shows that I'm within range for B12 and

folate. Vitamin D levels look good too.

Had the CDSA 2.0 (stool testing) done and it showed a small amount of

elevation in Calprotectin. No levels of Bifidobacteria were detected,

elevated levels of other bacteria including E Coli, Citrobacter

freundii and Enterobacter cloacae. My Bile acids were off in the ratio

so higher than their range of LCA/DCA.

Also had stool testing for Gluten sensitivity and other things. I

showed elevated levels of Antigliadin IgA, and elevated stool

Antitissue Transglutaminase IgA. I also have HLA-DQ2 (celiac gene). I

have since then remained gluten free.

I had IgG blood testing done for various foods showing Gluten containg

foods as being high. Whey and Almond showed low levels. All other

foods were No reaction.

But I have had the normal testing done for anti-TtG and anti endo and

both showed nothing. And an endoscopy showed now damage, but this was

done after being gluten free for some time, since 2004 I think.

I had saliva testing done for various things.

Testosterone showed low but within range.

Melatonin showed normal morning and nighttime, but elevated out of

range daytime levels. Still haven't figured out why. Perhaps my sleep

cycle is really screwed up.

Cortisol was low within range except for night time was low out of

range.

Normal blood tests all indicate that I'm normal. Normal cortisol,

normal Tsh, normal T3/T4, normal testosterone (well high within range

of total, but low within range of free which seems odd to me, but not

to an endocrinologist).

I have had two colonoscopies, the first showed Lymphocytic colitis

(minor inflamation of the colon), the second showed no inflamation.

Along the same lines, complete blood count testing says I'm normal, but

I see something strange. I see a high within range percentage of

Lymphocytes, but the count is low within range. And a low within range

percentage and low count of Neutrophils. Neutrophils are supposed to

be a larger percentage when normal. Something is abnormal, but I don't

know what it means.

Finally I recently showed slightly elevated levels of liver enzymes

recently, double or triple what it was a year or two ago or more.

Specfically ALT levels were elevated for 3 measurements, but they have

come down within range in the last tests but still elevated compared to

my normal.

If anyone has any comments on these that would be great. More for some

context for anyone who comes accross this thread.

Thanks,

Mike
