If you feel that you are getting worse from chelation, as opposed to

just having side effects, then you should seriously consider whether

or not you have any hidden exposure. The most frequent hidden

exposure would be amalgam under crowns/bridges, etc, but there could

also be other exposures at home or at work or elsewhere. My first

thought always springs to broken fluorescent lights.

Also, if you are taking ALA it could possibly be that your body burden

is still high and the ALA is moving the mercury into your brain

instead of out. If that's the case you might want to stop ALA and

just use DMSA/DMPS for a while more. If you're not using ALA then

this isn't a concern.

If you feel that these are just side effects, but they aren't

bearable, then you should consider lowering your dose.

When we are chelating our bodies may need more to help out

the detox process. We need to be a detective to know our

bodies and its needs..

-----------Very well put Nanci, and a great reminder to us all to play

*detective* and go back and look over our supplements. I think many of us have

found that our needs have changed over time, either needing more or less of this

or that. We also sometimes find that you may not tolerate something when you

first try it, but down the road you might, so it's worth trying things

again.-------Jackie
