The most frequent hidden exposure would be amalgam under crowns/bridges, etc, but there could also be other exposures at home or at work or elsewhere. My first thought always springs to broken fluorescent lights. Also, if you are taking ALA it could possibly be that your body burden is still high and the ALA is moving the mercury into your brain instead of out. If that's the case you might want to stop ALA and just use DMSA/DMPS for a while more. If you're not using ALA then this isn't a concern. If you feel that these are just side effects, but they aren't bearable, then you should consider lowering your dose.

I try and see these symptoms as signs of deficiencies I am not dealing with. On this chelation with just DMSA I got two new things pop up. One was heart weakness which I had had before but it would not last the two days it has been going on. The other --- bad depression.. I have not been depressed for maybe 8 years.. I have had alot of problems but the depression was not one of them.. I got on the web and this group and looked at my supplements.. I had not been taking as much calcium, so I upped this and the heart discomfort is better.. I had not tried L-tyrosine and knowing that this is specific to depression plus the other symptoms I have I had this and three hours later , the depression is totally gone.. > When we are chelating our bodies may need more to help out the detox process. We need to be a detective to know our bodies and its needs.. Nanci
