Amy is still on the road to recovery from this surgery. She was in quite a bit of pain again this morning so the Pain Managment team has uped her morphine again. We were told the reason they did not do a resection or a stoma was because her whole large intestine is full of cancer and there is not one section that is healthy. Therefore they can not attach two healthy pieces or connect a stoma to a healthy piece when there is no healthy pieces. Unfortunatley Amy will probably experience another blockage in the enar future adn at that time it will be her decision to do more surgery.
