Guest guest
Does anyone know how far in advance of getting pregnant one would have to stop chelating? I've been chelating for 4+ years and only do a round now and then. Thanks bunches, :^) Alessa I was too busy to respond at the time that this post came in. While amalgams are in place and the body is getting a daily, steady burden of mercury from the amalgam vapor, it can't do much to try to get rid of the excessive body burden. When amalgams are removed and that daily dose stops the body *starts* to recover a little bit. At about 3 months after amalgam removal mercury starts to dump out of organs. When this happens the free mercury doesn't necessarily leave the body. There WILL be mercury roaming around in the body during this time and it would not be a good time to conceive. For the sake of the fetus, it would not be a good idea to conceive during the period shortly after amalgam removal. I don't think anyone would know how long after amalgam removal it would be safe (for the fetus) to conceive. I would look for opinions from Andy Cutler because he has educated himself on all aspects of toxicity and chelation. It certainly is not safe (for the fetus) to conceive during chelation when there will be mercury moving around for certain. I wanted to make it clear that in the frequent-dose- chelation group we advise against conception during chelation. Anyone who is at an age where they could possibly conceive, and is chelating, would be wise to use extra birth control measures if they are sexually active. I wanted to clarify that point in case there was any confusion. J
