Guest guest
In the file it is said: " for those that have significant side effects while on round will you need to take as much time off as on " Shouldn't be said " for those that have significant side effects while on round will need to take MORE time off than on " ? I mean I thought the rule was that OFF time is AT LEAST equal to ON time, but the file suggest that it is normal to stay less time OFF than ON. Maybe I didn't understand well the rule or what is said in the file? Thanks,
Guest guest
I agree , it has always been my understanding that even under the best of circumstances you should take as much time off as on - and more time off if side effects are significant. Dean Question on TK suggestions on oral chelation In the file it is said: " for those that have significant side effects while on round will you need to take as much time off as on " Shouldn't be said " for those that have significant side effects while on round will need to take MORE time off than on " ? Guest guest
Time off the round is individual, and Andy's original recommendations were based on conservative general estimates. If someone felt great on a round and didn't have copper issues, not having breaks isn't out of the question. See his reasoning for the recommendations here: http://onibasu.com/wiki/Cutler_protocol#Length_of_rounds > > I agree , it has always been my understanding that even under the > best of circumstances you should take as much time off as on - and more time > off if side effects are significant. > > Dean > > > > Question on TK suggestions on oral > chelation > > > In the file it is said: > > " for those that have significant side effects while > on round will you need to take as much time off as on " > > Shouldn't be said > " for those that have significant side effects while > on round will need to take MORE time off than on " ? > > I mean I thought the rule was that OFF time is AT LEAST equal to ON > time, but the file suggest that it is normal to stay less time OFF > than ON. Guest guest
Hi, , This is the paragraph: " Longer rounds excrete more Mercury and cause less redistribution. Longer rounds are advised only for those that actually do better while chelating - those that have significant side effects while on round will you need to take as much time off as on. If you do better while chelating with the DMSA during those longer rounds and stop to take a break because of lack of sleep etc. then you should take some time off before starting again, I would suggest at least 4- 5 days. " In the file located in AMC it is said almost exactly the same (maybe it would be a good idea to sync both files): " Longer rounds excrete more Mercury and cause less redistribution. Longer rounds are advised only for those that actually do better while chelating - for those that have significant side effects while on round will you need to take as much time off as on. If you do better while chelating with the DMSA during those longer rounds and stop to take a break because of lack of sleep etc. then you should take some time off before starting again, I would suggest at least 4- 5 days. " In the appendix of AI, when Cutler considers this issue it is opened the possibility of chelate 3-14 days and then take a break for 4-7 days, which is closer to TK's suggestion. Maybe the rule of days OFF = days ON came later on the light of the experience of the group? Thanks, > > In the file it is said: > > " for those that have significant side effects while > on round will you need to take as much time off as on " > > Shouldn't be said > " for those that have significant side effects while > on round will need to take MORE time off than on " ? > > I mean I thought the rule was that OFF time is AT LEAST equal to ON > time, but the file suggest that it is normal to stay less time OFF > than ON. Yes, I found it now. I made the change and right now there are two files in the files section. The new one is a word file. I will think about it over night and delete the old file tomorrow. What I am thinking is that people who have significant side effects on round should also consider lowering the dose. > > In the file located in AMC it is said almost exactly the same (maybe > it would be a good idea to sync both files): > > Yes, I will put the same new file in AMC after I sleep on it (mercury has forced me to take slow thinking into consideration when I do things).
