I gave up watching horror films after I jumped so violently when something leapt out during one that I wrenched my shoulder. It hurt for weeks afterwards. Mind you, I managed to sit through most of Silence of the Lambs, although it was on TV, not in the cinema - I don't think I could have stood that. Gladiator I watched the beginning of and then went away - looked far too violent and bloodthirsty for me. DH not impressed, but then he likes sitting and watching films on TV/DVD in the evenings - it doesn't really do anything for me, and then he gets cross that I want to do something else.
