Guest guest
Why do people find it so embarressing to talk to children about sex and growing up? I mean we have all been there, and its not embarressing to us. Children are so innocent, wouldnt you rather explain thibngs to them yourselves, rather than let them find out from other kids, who could scare them. My 3 year old stepson is always asking why he has a willy and not a 'front bottom' (what a horrible expression...learnt from his uptight mother). He watches us use the toliet (as part of ongoing toilet training), and is obviously interested in why I sit on the loo, and daddy doesnt! WE just explain that we have different bodies, and that is how mummys and daddys can make babies...and thats about all the infomation he needs at the moment. Of course its kind of confusing for him, as I am not his mummy, and thats a whole new set of questions!! Mum to Rohan (4 mths)
