I found that the mercury was the reason I ground my teeth, and chewed on pens and everything else. I used to grind my teeth horribly in fact. But after amalgam removal it stopped. ---------The dentist also told me I grind my teeth. But after amalgam removal and all the supplementing, it has stopped. I think I used to clench my teeth alot also, and I don't seem to be doing that anymore either. I'm not sure if it's just the mercury or in combination with mineral deficiencies, which is very common with mercury poisoning. I think zinc is the main one, but it could be other minerals also. Magnesium could play a factor also, in relaxing the muscles.-------Jackie Two plausible reasons I found for this are: mercury vapors from the amalgams cause muscle spasms and tightness in the face. Two: Metal fillings are electrically charged and this causes the face muscles to spasm and clench the teeth. Either way, I noticed immediate relief that first night after removal. Just don't take charcoal all the time, especially not with supplments or it absorbs them and whatever you ate with it. It is useful for yeast die off, eating something that didn't agree with you also. ----------Yes, too much charcoal can also make you constipated, but can help with the things you mentioned. My dentist had me take it right before and right after my amalgam removals.-----------Jackie I would suggest you take zinc everyday. It will reduce the chewing. I used to chew pens, gum..anything. So did my kid, until we began daily zinc. ----------I agree, we all need zinc. One of the most messed up minerals from mercury. It also helps the immune system, especially this time of year!----Jackie > > > > No it's not a chelator but it absorbs Hg in the gut that you swallow > > during removal. _._,_.___ Messages in this topic (0) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic Messages Change settings via the Web (Yahoo!
