If you could post your hair test results it would be easier to say.

See the file in the files section about how to post hair test results.

I can't really say much about the changes in Na/K without seeing the

test results.

What to do about copper issues is quite straight forward - just taking

certain supplements mostly for liver support. There are pages devoted

to the topic in both " Amalgam Illness " and " Hair Test Interpretation " .

If this test meets counting rules..the copper level means nothing.

There is adrenal support and treatment for that, don't worry.

Post the test and we can help you better.

Sonny-

First of all, why are you planning to chelate? What is your indication

that you are mercury poisoned? Have you applied the counting rules to

your hair test?

One thing that does appear clear, is that you are copper poisoned, and

that will be the first thing you have to deal with.

Have a look in the onibasu.com archives for copper tox protocols.

If you turn out to be also mercury poisoned, you can not use ALA until

the copper issue is dealt with - and you can't use it anyway, until you

are 3 months away from your recent amalgam removal. (I'm not sure about

DMSA or DMPS.)

Dave.

Hello All,

I just got my 4 amalgams out,and planning to chelate, but I just

received the hair analysis results and there are two alarming findings:

1. A decrease in the sodium/ potassium ratio is observed, ratio of

1.0/1.0, which indicates adrenal insufficiency,

therefore tissue

breakdown,or catabolism, is happening( It is Soooooo depressing to

know that I am breaking down my own tissues)

2. Previously high Cu level has increased from 12.00 to 22.20.

According to the lab may be I am eliminating Cu, therefore Cu levels

are high.

Please help me with this issue.I am really losing my sleep over it.....

Thanks in advance!!!!

1.0/1.0, which indicates adrenal insufficiency, therefore tissue

breakdown,or catabolism, is happening( It is Soooooo depressing to

know that I am breaking down my own tissues)

----------The Na/K ratio usually points to thyroid problems. The adrenal sign

is when Na/K are both low and Cal/Mag are both high (or vice versa). And you

mention a decrease in this ratio, have you had two hair tests done? And it

would be much easier if we could see the whole thing, so if you could post it

with Dean at his website, that would be great. If you do have adrenal

insufficiency, you can verify this with a saliva test, and there are things you

can do and take to help correct this.------------Jackie

2. Previously high Cu level has increased from 12.00 to 22.20.

According to the lab may be I am eliminating Cu, therefore Cu levels

are high.

--------------Again you mention two numbers, so I'm assuming you've had two

hair tests? Also, on the hair tests I've looked at, these numbers wouldn't be

considered high, so it would help if we could see the actual tests. I don't

think Andy says you have to really worry about copper unless it is high *red*.

And I believe Andy says is that zinc is what you take for high

copper.-------Jackie

Please help me with this issue.I am really losing my sleep over it.....

------------If you really want to understand your hair test better, then I

suggest you get Andy's Hair Test Interpretation book, if you don't already have

it. Andy likes using DDI for hair tests, but I don't believe he puts much stock

into the analysis they give you. So either order the book, or search archives

or check out the onibasu/wiki for more info about copper and other hair test

issues. But the best thing would be if you could post your actual hair tests

for us to look at.-------Jackie

Thanks in advance!!!!
