Re: How to heal leaky gut?/BED

This is a program a physician put me on before investigating the

possibility of mercury toxicity.

From experience, BED can kill off a lot of candida very quickly.

Candida tends to hold mercury stores in the gut. During die-off,

when Hg is released too quickly together with toxins from the

infection, we can become much sicker & experience more cellular

damage as a result. This was demonstrated in my testing over the

months. BED incorporates sulfur foods and algaes which can further

complicate detoxification. It also recommends berries as fruits are

reintroduced, which aren't appropriate for those needing a Feingold-

type diet or need to watch salicylates. I found a great

nutritionist after six months or so, but by then was long depleted

of glutathione stores.

I guess what I want to pass along is that the BED author wasn't

aware of mercury toxicity, so this program wasn't designed with this

in mind. Maybe there's newer additions; I know I emailed the author

regarding my experiences a couple years ago. Aspects of it and much

of the information it contains can be very helpful. It did assist

in healing a leaky gut and helped me get on a track of learning how

to eat when I learned I'm sensitized in one way or another to almost

all foods. It definitely got me off gluten & dairy, which I'd never

want to be exposed to again regularly.

> We drink young coconut kefir which a few years ago was

supposedly being used by a dentist in Germany to help his patients

chelate mercury. Many autistic children have digestive issues,

metal issues and candida. We have witnessed many kids on the ASD

spectrum following the protocol with wonderful results. A number of

the parents are chelating their children in addition to this food

plan. A new community has been recently established if you want to

hear more about it:
