Guest guest
Hi All, My name is Nan. I was dx'd with interstitial lung disease about 5 yrs ago. Then, 2 yrs ago, the pulmonary guy says pulmonary fibrosis. Last month, I was hospitalized again. My primary suggested I change pulmonary docs because of hospital affiliation. Well, now the new doc says " respiratory bronchiolitis - interstitial lung disease " . When I asked what the difference was, he said the other doc probably didn't want to confuse me with the long drawn out name. I, also, have rheumatiod arthritis, diverticulitis, IBS, fibromyalgia, hyperplacia and a strange form of eczema. I'm still new to all this and am still learning all the terms. So, as you can imagine, all this pulmonary stuff is overwhelming. I read through some of the posts and keep seeing PF and IPF. Is there a difference? Thanks, Nan
