Guest guest
Hello Everyone Hope you all had a good weekend. Tomorrow is Amy's 30th birthday and unfortunately she will be spending it in the hospital. There is a lounge on the floor that Amy is on that they are reserving for her birthday party. My mom ordered two cakes to give to the staff on the 14th floor for being so wonderful this past month (yes is has been 1 month this past Saturday that Amy was admitted). I was in to see her this morning and she didn't look well again. She was sick again last night and was feeling quite nauseous today. They are doing another abdomenol x-ray today to check for a blockage again. Tomorrow Amy will have her lungs tapped again and then they will most likely start the pleurodesis procedure (putting in a chest tube and creating scarring around the lung so no more fluid can get in). The team of docs from the Toronto General first have to approve that Amy is eligible for this procedure. I have said to Amy that when she has had enough she needs to let us know (as surgeons will keep trying to solve the problems as long as Amy lets them). And as she glances at Paige's picture she says, " i know " (her 2 year old daughter). Amy will fight right to the end - she is so strong.
