Guest guest
Hey there, well I am back and the good news is that HA is more beautiful than they say. Spent most of the time at Ko'Olina, a timeshare resort 25 minutes west of Honolulu courtesy of my wonderful sister. Very peaceful. Spent the last 2 nights at a hotel in Honolulu. It is a concrete city other than seeing the ocean from the balcony and watching boats and surfers. Very touristy. Didn't like that piece of the trip. Felt pretty good with the exception of a couple of days. Donnelle, The bad news is I left my camera in the rental car. My sister has it but may not be able to get it sent in time for the party. I am so sorry. I really wanted to send you all the pics. I did buy some post cards to send you so you will have to send me your home address and I will get those out to you. My home email is wilkinsondjm@... I had a bunch of stuff shipped home via UPS and the postcards are in those boxes. Should be here on Wed or Thurs. Cross your fingers. She is island hopping right now so she may not get the camera sent, if she does, I will overnight a cd to you. You can also go out to www.gohawaii.com and sometimes they have postcards out there that you can email. You might want to check that site and email to yourself to print, if they allow you to print, or send a nice message to Glenn. I think they have screen savers too that you can download. I'll double check, that might be on the visitors bureau site. I feel horrible about this, I guess I can chalk this up to chemo brain, I can't believe I left it behind with a couple hundred pics! I will send them late if you still want them. Started round 5 today. hate it. tingles getting worse, hair still thinning, not sick yet though! Glad Glenn had a great bday. ALL - I had 652 messages when I got back and could only read some before deleting. Hopefully everyone out here is well and making progress on treatments. hugs and prayers to all. donna Marty, I sent your chemo brain broadcast to several friends. All loved it. One person asked me how to listen to you live. I don't know if she figured it out yet. I didn't have time to check it out before I went out of town. Don't you broadcast live? What time? We are EST. thanks Grandmommyandme@... wrote: In a message dated 8/1/2005 7:22:41 PM Eastern Standard Time, wilkinsondjm@... writes: Donnelle, I can get you pics but not until the 16th or 17th. I will be in HA but not doing much site seeing. Get back on the 15th and head into chemo on the 16th. I can put the pics on a cd and UPS overnight to you and you can print what you want. Any special requests? Let me know if you would like that and send your address, feel free to use my home email address. hugs, donna Donna... Thanks, you can send pics if you have time, but don't worry about getting them here before the 21st. I would love to have the CD, tho, especially if you get some good sunrises or sunsets or any of the lighthouses...thanks for thinking of us. Have a great trip!!! Guest guest
Donna, I am so glad you got to enjoy HA. It is a blessing that we can go other places and see the beauty that God put here for us to enjoy. I am so thrilled that your camera is not a total loss and that you sister got it. So sorry that your chemo tingles are getting worse. But it will go away. I noticed in my chemo it would get worse each go around and last a bit longer between chemos. But my tingles in my hands did go away after chemo. Your hair will thin but it you do not loose all of it. Mine started growing back as soon as chemo was done. You are almost half way. I know chemo is hard but it will get done and there is an end to it. Just stay strong and remember the chemo is helping you. Hope you are not feeling sick.
