Guest guest
Does anyone know if you can breastfeed if you are taking Warfarin? A pregnant friend has had a swollen ankle (just one) throughout her pregnancy. She was concerned but was told by all HPs that it was because she had a dodgy knee on that side. Well earlier this week the swelling was up to her thigh and it turns out to be a blood clot which had gone from her ankle to her groin. So much for the dodgy knee explanations. It's now sorted and she is now on a pregnancy-friendly form of warfarin and has been told she's got to take warfarin for a year. She has to see the obstetrician next week, but is getting herself in a state because she so wanted to b/f. Anyone know, so I can pacify her a bit with a bit of info, before her appt?
