Hi, I am sorry I do not have the answers. Maybe someone here will. Give

it time, someone will answer. How are you doing? Ingrid

I have never heard of mixing CPT-11 and oxaliplatin

together. It's not listed as an 'FDA approved combo'

so I assume you're thinking of a drug-trial. (of which

there are many & some have had very promising results)

Erbitux can be given with either and also by itself.

It is generally mild as far as side effects go. The

primary side effects are from the CPT-11 or

Oxaliplatin it is combined with in the treatment

regieme. If you've had those drugs previously, you

could expect the same kinds of side effects you

experienced then.

If you go to www.webmd.com you can find good info on

the various chemo drugs, also at medscape.com and at

some of the links on the sidebar of this board.

good Luck!

Hi, I took oxaliplatin/5FU and erbitux for 4 months. I was in a

research study. They had to stop the erbitux because my wbc count went

down too many times and I did not fit the criteria for the program

anymore. Over the 4 months though, my liver mets disappeared. I still

have 3 treatments of just the oxal. and 5FU left. The erbitux side

effects were mild compared to the others. They do monitor your blood

pressure and temp constantly while receiving it. You also have to sit

for an hour afterwards in case of any reactions. I am hopeful that the

treatment worked well.
