Guest guest
Hi everyone, I haven't read all the messages yet but I'll say thanks to everyone for the prayers and well wishes. I am currently a patient on the pulmonary unit at Duke. They've done about a million tests and so far we don't know too much. The good news is, my fever is gone. I haven't had tylenol in about 12 hours and my temp is 98.9 so that's good. My chest x-ray was very questionable for pneumonia. As you all know it can be difficult to interpret a chest x-ray for someone who has an underlying lung issue. So they are treating me with Avelox for possible pneumonia and they just started Tamiflu in case it turns out to be flu. Those screenings take a while to come back. The bottom line is I feel somewhat better, just really exhausted and achey and no appetite at all. They've told me I will likely go home tomorrow if things keep progressing the way they are. I have my laptop now and there is wireless in the hospital so I will keep you all posted. Thanks to everyone for the support.
